Job Overview
We’re looking for a proactive, efficient and motivated Front of House Manager to confidently oversee the daily operations of our luxury studio. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities which will include managing the Front of House team, building and maintaining positive member relationships, as well as maintaining a clean and welcoming studio environment. This role requires a self-sufficient individual who is able to balance providing support to the Head Trainer in all aspects of operational management and delivering a high standard of service to increasingly enhance the overall member experience.
Responsibilities
Operations Management
* Coordinate any and all studio maintenance to include booking repairs, scheduling routine security and fire system checks, replacing faulty equipment, coordinating housekeeping etc.
* Manage inventory, replenish stock and liaise with any contractors, suppliers and/or affiliate partners.
* Schedule, organise and oversee events including but not limited to, content days, private hires, photoshoots etc.
* Manage the Mindbody scheduling software, including setting up, modifying and cancelling membership contracts in line with company policies, scheduling direct debit payments, updating agreement terms and maintaining an accurate member database.
* Conduct Front of House duties, such as monitoring class bookings, registering class attendance, troubleshooting any system-based issues, processing sales, assisting with class changeover etc.
* Support the Head Trainer to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and to ensure that company policies are adhered to i.e age policies, cancellation policies, studio waiver terms, memberships’ agreement terms etc.
* Manage the general email inbox, handle new member enquiries, confirm class bookings, follow-up on expiring memberships and class packs, highlight any unpaid classes etc.
* Ensure accurate allocation of payments and support the Head Trainer by checking hours against the Rota and/or TT before sending for payment processing.
Team Leadership
* Manage the FOH team including the recruitment, onboarding and training processes. The Front of House Manager is responsible for drafting and circulating monthly rotas and will step in to cover roles when necessary.
* Ensure new and existing team members are adequately trained.
* Log staff holiday, organise cover and update the timetable with any modifications as approved by the Head Trainer.
* Communicate business updates, performance evaluations and feedback to the FOH team and team of instructors.
Client Experience
* Maintain a clean and welcoming studio environment.
* Assess any and all feedback from members to implement strategies which will enhance member satisfaction and retention.
* Schedule, organise and oversee member socials, exclusive classes and/or special events.
* Address client concerns and provide feedback both promptly and professionally.
Marketing and Business Development
* Assist in creating engaging social media content aimed at driving engagement and generating traffic through the promotion of day-to-day studio activities.
* Assist with the rollout of business developments to ensure smooth execution and effective communication throughout the process.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a management role within the fitness industry is preferred but not essential.
* Strong leadership, customer service and administrative skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in using and operating a studio management software such as Mindbody or a similar software provider.
* An understanding of social media trends in the fitness industry and a proficient user of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook etc.
* Competent MS Office user.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
* An active interest in health and fitness is desirable but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £18,750.00-£19,000.00 per year
