Sales Manager, Rail/Marine - Full Time Role Annual Salary: £45k - £55k (dependent on experience) Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you looking to join a leading company as a Sales Manager for the Rail/Marine team. This role is crucial for developing and executing sales strategies in the UK rail sector, and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of industries.This position is ideal for a candidate who is adaptable, open-minded, and thrives in various working environments. Day-to-day tasks of the role: Develop sales and marketing strategies for service packages and spare parts for rail/marine in the UK. Collaborate with the team to drive and manage the development and execution of the rail and marine sales strategy to attract and expand business. Build and maintain strategic alliances with key end-users including OEMs, ROSCOs, TOCs, and Service Providers. Prepare and review quotations, tenders, and commercial enquiries to secure sustainable growth in sales. Provide technical support to new and existing customers and participate in product presentations and exhibitions. Monitor and report on market requirements and developments. Engage in commercial offer preparation and contract negotiations with the support of the organisation, engineering, procurement, etc. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification such as HNC. Over 5 years of experience in sales within the UK rail sector; marine industry experience is beneficial. Strong existing contacts within the UK rail industry. Excellent knowledge of mechanical rail components; knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage. Proven skills in key account management and/or business development. Excellent organisational, project/bid planning, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and contribute to team goals.
