Mechanical Engineering Technician\nLocation: Near Cardiff\nIndustry: Chemical / COMAH / Paper Mill / Power / Biomass / Steel\n\nWhy This Role?\n\nJoin a growing maintenance team at a well-invested, high-performing manufacturing site with secured work for the next 3+ years.\n\nMulti-million pound site investment\nFull order book and long-term stability\nFast-paced environment with a collaborative culture\nBe a key part of a tight-knit, highly skilled team (3rd engineer on-site)\n\nYour Responsibilities\n\nAs a Mechanical Engineering Technician, your focus will be on minimising downtime and improving plant reliability:\n\nRespond to breakdowns and contribute to long-term reliability strategies\n\nUse FMEA, RCM, and predictive maintenance (PdM) tools\n\nMaintain and repair pumps, boilers, compressors, pipelines, and pressure vessels\n\nOperate condition monitoring tools (vibration, thermography, ultrasound)\n\nKeep CMMS systems up-to-date and enhance maintenance workflows\n\nSupervise contractors during shutdowns, turnarounds, and projects\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nCompleted Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications\n\nHands-on, practical experience in mechanical maintenance\n\nFamiliarity with industrial safety systems (CMMS, permits, risk assessments)\n\nPrevious work in heavy industrial or COMAH environments is highly desirable\n\nReady to join a stable, growing business with investment in both people and plant?\n Apply now or reach out for more information
