As Client Manager, your role will be to develop long-term relationships with a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting and business advisory needs are met to the highest standards. You will engage with a wide range of clients, including small and limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, property landlords, and individuals requiring personal tax support. Working within a rapidly growing retail environment, you will be expected to manage client portfolios effectively while contributing to the growth of the business. This role offers flexibility and can be tailored to the right candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who can step in and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing client relationships, which will include regular touch points with your clients, both online and in-person
2. Explore development opportunities with existing relationships to increase portfolio sizes
3. Managing finances of portfolio, including driving monthly billing targets, monitoring and improving recoveries, debt recovery, and forecasting
4. Reviewing VAT returns, personal tax returns, partnership returns, limited company, and sole trader accounts
5. Assisting in the management of the office and developing junior members of staff while proactively looking to develop a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
6. Identifying training and development needs and ensuring these are facilitated
7. Escalating development issues and progression requirements to the senior management team
