ROLE: Paralegal family law department: Private law role
SALARY: Dependent on experience
LOCATION: Manchester
Are you looking for a role in a friendly, professional established family law team comprising 10 lawyers & support staff? Our highly specialised department advises clients in all areas of family law. In public law: parents, & other family members, and guardians working on cases involving protecting children from harm. This new role in private law: you will be involved in children matters following divorce, separation, or dissolution of a civil partnership. There will be opportunity to gain experience in financial disputes & remedies as well as conduct non molestation / injunction cases. Your role will require an ability to advise to clients and other professionals, a high level of organisation and the ability to work on multiple matters in different disciplines within family law. There is good opportunity for career progression either as a paralegal or in the future to solicitor apprentice.

Your role will include
· Liaising with clients, 3rd parties & client support workers as well as internal teams in a courteous &
helpful manner.
· Handling client queries & casework in private law
· Attending upon clients – first instructions & subsequently
· Routine non chargeable case work, effective time recording and file management in a paper lite system
· Effective use of CCMS and data entry in the practice management system
· All aspects of public funded work but with the ability to service privately funded cases

· Strong academic background with a law degree
