As a Strategy Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in delivering dedicated support to victims of sexual assault. We are seeking passionate and caring individuals to join us. This is an opportunity to be a difference maker for those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in all strategy meetings with both the police and social care, advising on the best route for the child or young person based on strict criteria.
2. Ensure that children requiring a child protection medical are directed to the most appropriate Pediatrician instead of the SARC.
3. Discuss all elements of the child's attendance, whether acute or non-recent, as part of a multi-agency strategy meeting.
4. When acting as a Crisis Worker, provide cover for both the Paediatric and adult Forensic Services at the SARC.
5. Maintain accurate record keeping/documentation and confidential client notes as per protocols.
6. Liaise with other voluntary and statutory agencies to meet the health and psychological needs of patients.
7. Ensure the secure storage of all SARC files and forensic samples for potential use in criminal investigations.
Location: The Elms SARC
Hours: 18 hours per week
Shift Patterns: 9am - 5pm
Salary: £29,699 pro rata based on 40 hours per week
Minimum Requirements:
* IT Literate
* Basic administration skills
* Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children
* Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children and Adults
* Knowledge and understanding of Confidentiality
* Experience of working with individuals who may have complex needs
* Experience of working with individuals who have experienced sexual assault/violence
* Project development and outreach experience
* Training and presentation skills
