Main duties of the job As part of our commitment to your development as you transition between sectors, UHCW Pharmacy provides a tailored induction programme to our department and the role of our Clinical Pharmacists. Structured induction training takes place over a 4-month period (see attachments for more details) after which you will transfer onto our Clinical Pharmacist rotational programme (Band 6/7 Step Pathway). As the successful candidate, you will provide a high quality clinical pharmacy service to all patients across the Trust, working closely with all members of the pharmacy team. You will undertake training and gain experience in various areas of the pharmacy department and clinical specialities through a structured, competency assessed, rotational programme covering specialities in: Acute Medicine Cardiac Services Women's and Children's Services Gastro medicine and surgery General Surgery General Medicine Respiratory Medicine Neuro Sciences Aseptic Services Medicines Information Clinical Trials Renal Medicine Trauma and Orthopaedics In addition, you will be enrolled onto our STAR programme access to a mentorship structure within the rotations to help co-ordinate your journey from newly qualified to a highly effective member of the clinical pharmacy team.
