We are currently seeking a Site Cost Control Engineer to join our Project team based in Teesside, NE England.

About the mission we offer you:
Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world's first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England.
The successful candidate will be site-based once the site office is established but until then will work on a hybrid basis, attending the Milton Keynes, London, and Paris offices as required.
The Cost Control Engineer has the overall responsibility for:
1. Staying informed of the costs and trends of the construction versus the budget and informing the Site Manager / Cost Manager of any important trend or deviation of costs from budgets.
2. Ensuring that relevant corrective actions are identified and implemented as per Site Manager Instructions.
3. Maintaining the budget on a current basis by updating it for authorized changes.
4. Preparing Client change orders for the field work.
5. Controlling and forecasting the evolution of construction costs and quantities as compared to budget and schedule and determining corrective measures as necessary.
6. Controlling field orders and extra-work orders for Subcontractors in cooperation with Cost Control Manager.
7. Maintaining records of installed quantities and comparing these with estimated quantities.
8. Reporting, analyzing and forecasting construction and local procurement costs.
9. Coding jobsite labour and material expenditures into the account code structure established for the jobsite.
10. Maintaining records of expenditures against the budget and forecasting final costs for each code of account.
11. Developing productivity and unit cost information with the budget.
12. Preparing cost studies for special work activities to assist construction supervision in making decisions that may affect cost.
13. Preparing supplier back-charges dossier.
14. Managing claims dossier for losses and damages.
15. Preparing internal cost reports (Site Cost Control Report).
16. Preparing Project Monthly Report in the final phase of the project if responsible for the overall cost control activities.
17. Defining the numbering system for local commitments and work orders and issuing relevant management procedures for implementation.
18. Providing the Project Control Manager or Site Manager with control reports at specified intervals.
19. Developing periodic reports to assist construction supervision and management in performing the functions of cost control (data collection, analysis, reporting system, proposed corrective action and follow-up of these actions).
20. Liaising with the Administration Manager for all issues related to personnel costs (mob, living, accommodation, local transport, local employees).
21. Liaising with Accountant for all cost movements (numbering, codifications, and approval) and consolidation reviews.

* Experience in similar positions on large scale construction/engineering projects in the UK.
