Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our Orthopaedic team. The post is based at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital however the successful candidate may be asked to work Trustwide. The main clinical commitment will be to support the Orthopaedic and Orthogeriatric team on Ward 1. Depending on the successful applicants interests, exposure to Orthopaedic trauma and elective work can be incorporated. Applicants should have MBBS qualification and relevant experience at F1/2 level. This post is best suited to trainees who have recently completed foundation training. They will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team including nursing, physio and ortho-geriatric colleagues with educational supervision provided by an Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon. The post will initially be available as a 4 month fixed term contract and will provide an ideal opportunity for further experience at the Foundation Doctor level. This post includes shift work and participation in the Foundation Doctor rota at NSECH. Training opportunities in Orthopaedics and Orthogeriatrics will be provided as well as support for professional development.
