Job Details:
Salary: £105,504.00 - £139,882.00 per annum (Pro-rata)
Contract: Fixed-Term contract for 12 months
Hours: Part-time: 5 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 3.5:1.5)
On call: None
Location: Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX
Qualifications needed:
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
CCT or equivalent
Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Adult ADHD Service, based at Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX.
This is a new, fixed-term for 12 months, part-time post - 5 Programmed Activities (PAs) post with 3.5 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC) and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs).
The post holder will work alongside a part-time ADHD Nurse Specialist and provide care to the adult (above 18 years of age) residents across Barking and Dagenham.
Job responsibilities:
You will be expected to:
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, especially ADHD, across Barking and Dagenham.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
Work alongside the MDT.
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
