Now Education are working with an FE College who are looking to recruit an Engineer Tutor who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing Level 3 apprentices on the Engineering Technician standard - Mechatronics pathway and Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) - Electrical and mechanical pathways.
The Tutor will support the apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required to be demonstrated within the apprenticeship. This will consist of coaching and mentoring sessions, knowledge delivery through teaching sessions that will be run at our classroom and workshops in Crewe.
You will be required to teach in both the classroom and the workshop environment, complete guidance, and mock end point assessments to ensure that apprenticeships are ready for the independent assessment at the end of their apprenticeship.
You will work closely with other Learning coach's to ensure that the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom will be embedded in the workplace.
You will take part in discussions with employers to build good relationships and be involved in updating all parties on the apprentice's journey through progress reviews.
You will be expected to embed maths and English into your delivery to ensure that learners that do not have the required level of Functional skills or equivalent can pass the exams.
This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week (at the Crewe site).

Key Responsibilities include:
1. Fulfil teaching commitments which will consist of both classroom and workshop environment.
2. Manage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions.
3. Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding, and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely including:
1. 20% OJT requirements are fully met and recorded as per procedure.
2. Learners achieve the highest grade in EPA they are capable of.
3. Progress learners using onefile, setting targets for Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.
4. Individualised learning programmes, agreed with employer and learner based on initial assessments and including Maths and English.
5. Engage the learner's line manager, making clear their responsibilities and working collaboratively to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for learning.
6. Plan the end point assessment process with learners and employers, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan.
7. Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners' needs.
8. Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
9. Deliver Maths and English (and ICT where applicable), to support the learner's achievement and progress in these areas.
10. Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development.
11. Work closely with IQA's on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.
12. Maintain a positive working relationship with employers ensuring progression and new leads are generated.
13. Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPI's.
14. Contribute to the production of high quality learning materials.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential
1. Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level 3 or higher than delivery).
2. Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent, or willing to undertake.
3. Ability to deliver high quality, effective coaching that meets learner needs.
4. Ability to deliver engaging and interactive teaching in the workshop to meet learners needs.
5. Excellent level of skills in written and oral and presentational areas, understanding the importance of focus on the audience to support learning.
6. Ability to plan, paying attention to detail and a track record in developing and delivering robust, effective, prioritised plans which achieve KPIs and strategic aims.
7. Proactively drive learner performance and engagement.
8. Teaching qualification Cert ed/CTTLS/DTTLS/EAT/PGCE or equivalent.
Desirable
1. Coaching qualification.
2. Knowledge of Government funded training.
3. TAQA, AVA, A1 or D32/33 Assessor Qualification.
