A market leader in semiconductor and high technology instrumentation is now looking for a Field Service Engineer / Customer Support Engineer to join their UK and EMEA Support Team.
Supporting customers across EMEA, UK and on occasions US, you can expect to spend approximately 90% of your time travelling throughout the territory.
Working from home, your main travel will be to customer sites, where you will perform installations, upgrades of systems and software, preventative maintenance, breakdown and repairs, on the equipment at the customer sites.
You will also respond to customer queries and troubleshoot problems over the phone.
As the main point of contact for customers, you will report back to Engineering or Support and Upgrade Teams any experiences, requirements or issues highlighted during your visits.

Experience:
With experience in a similar Field Engineering role, you should be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics, fault find and implement corrective actions.
Your previous experience in Customer or Field Service support, should have been gained in the semiconductor or in a similar high technology electronic/instrumentation sector.
Qualifications:
Ideally you should hold an HNC or Degree in an Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Engineering Discipline.
Additional Information:
The position requires extensive, frequent travel (ca 90%), therefore you MUST be prepared to regularly travel and stay away from home. (Mainly EMEA, UK and US)
Candidates MUST have a Full Clean UK driving licence.
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
