What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.
The shift patterns include working weekends on a rota basis, 7.5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
We are actively encouraging male candidates who drive to apply for this opportunity at our specialist residential service in Surbiton. This is to accommodate the needs of our service users in the most efficient manner.
You will have a clean and full UK licence as you will be responsible for driving staff and service users to local destinations to support care plans. However, male, non-driving applicants will also be considered for this opportunity.
