KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To deputise for the Store Manager in their absence.
2. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will manage the cash handling, banking and associated administration.
3. You will ensure that all till operations are carried out in line with the Fred Perry operations manual.
4. To support the Store Manager to help meet KPI budgets, communicating these to staff and motivating them to help achieve agreed targets.
5. To assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the stock control, including receipting transfers, monitoring stock levels, stock preparation and presentation.
6. You will demonstrate excellent customer service to all customers and provide customers with expertise information of the product range and its benefits.
7. Be familiar with the shop operations manual, personnel and Health and Safety policies.
8. Communicate KPI results to Head Office and Area Manager in the absence of the Store Manager, including commentary on reports.
9. Inform the Store Manager of any issues or non-compliance in reference to the Fred Perry policies and procedures.
THE PERSON:
1. Experience in retail management - essential.
2. Proven experience in building effective teams and motivating employees.
3. Strong initiative and leadership skills.
4. Understanding of various retail concepts i.e. (gross margin, markdowns, visual merchandising).
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Able to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs.
