Job Description
Wood is recruiting for an Integrity Management Lead for its Digital Consulting – Intelligent Assets team. This role can be based at any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, or Glasgow, with the expectation of travel as required.
The Role
The Integrity Management Lead is accountable for the execution of all technical aspects of deliverables on the contract, building and maintaining a competent team, and ensuring timely and quality deliverables. This individual will have line management responsibilities for a technical team and assist the project manager with client interfacing, invoicing, budgeting, and other tasks as necessary. The Integrity Management Lead will ensure the technical assurance requirements of the contract are met. They will be supported by Subject Matter Experts, Inspection Lead, and Corrosion / RBA Leads in performing their allocated duties.

Responsibilities
* Leading a hybrid, multi-location team of integrity, corrosion, inspection, and RBA specialists in the execution of contract deliverables
* Responsibility for Quality Assurance of Wood deliverables in line with Wood Business Management System which is ISO 9001 certified
* Responsible for the national team development programme, including wider technical and personal development of the national engineering team, including exposure to other Wood projects, project management, site experience, and technical training
* Interaction with Client (central and regional) to understand their drivers/issues/concerns
* Provide system-wide technical assurance
* Provide leadership and direction to technical staff
* Ensure that processes are in place to observe all relevant engineering codes and standards
* Responsible for technical compliance, including response to NCRs and implementing continuous process improvements
* Generate, own and roll out of continuous improvement and strategic initiatives
* Own the technical management of change process
* Provides checking support for Timesheets and Invoices
* Recruitment of suitably qualified and experienced engineers, both regional and remote centre of excellence
* Supports scope definition and budget setting process
* Assisting the Subject Matter Expert in competency assessments
* Ensures compliance to appropriate standards, including the development of bespoke technical competencies for Wood staff according to the project needs
* Leveraging wider Wood capability to help provide solutions for technically complex challenges
* Conducts appraisals for all technical team members including the developing engineers and provides guidance in goal setting
* Support inspection and corrosion team leads in implementing client vision whilst always maintaining focus on technical assurance and process safety
* Leads weekly engineering meetings and contributes to quarterly client contract review meetings
* Problem solving across all technical areas to ensure seamless delivery of service to client
* Leads prioritisation of work scope and application of appropriate resources
* Responsible for defining roles and responsibilities, interface boundaries with client and 3rd parties, and implementing the agreed Wood R&R

Expected
* Degree in an appropriate Engineering related discipline
* Professional engineering qualification such as IEng as defined by the Eng Council (or equivalent) through a suitable Engineering Institute
* Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of standards, risk assessments, and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment
* Must be familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures
* Previous experience of leading a team, coaching, mentoring, and carrying out competency assessments
* Ability to generate a team approach to workflow execution and problem solving
* Provide leadership, coordination or guidance to others
Desirable
* Chartered Engineer as defined by the UK Engineering Council or equivalent
* Appropriate API, ASME & CSWIP certifications
* Project management certification – e.g. PMP
* Good communicator both written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others
* Good client or support contractor relationship skills at various levels of seniority or diverse cultures
