About the role
ABC Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and thriving secondary school in the Hall Green area. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support for students, particularly those with SEN and behavioural needs
* Assist in Resource Bases, supporting targeted learning interventions

* Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt resources and teaching methods

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Secondary School Teaching Assistant you will:
* Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
* Knowledge of SEN, behavioural support, or experience working in a Resource Base is beneficial
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) preferred but not essential
* Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
* Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.
