Salary
The salary range is from £28,122 to £30,832 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary increases occur annually after passing probation.
Hours of Work
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Annual Leave
25 days plus 8 public holidays and 5 discretionary days. After 2 years, entitlement increases to 30 days. Only in exceptional circumstances can more than 3 consecutive weeks be taken with permission.
Pension Scheme
Occupational pension through the ‘Local Government Pension Scheme’.
Probationary Period
6 months, including mandatory induction and training sessions.
References
Two satisfactory references required.
Location
Based at cross campus, may work at other locations.
Medical
Must satisfy medical requirements for the role.
Qualification Validation
The College will validate essential qualifications by contacting educational institutes.
Contractual Qualification Requirement
If required to obtain a qualification, funding depends on annual CPD budget availability; student loans are available.
Maths and English
Minimum Level 2 qualifications in both; if not possessed, expected to obtain during employment.
Safeguarding
All staff must undertake safeguarding training during probation. The College adheres to the ‘Keeping children safe in Education’ guidance.
Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
Successful applicants will need to complete a DBS check, with costs deducted from the first salary.

Mandatory training and ongoing development are required for all staff.
