Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £62,740 - £80,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting for a Principal Information Specialist for the Information, Configuration & Knowledge Management team. This individual will play a key role in the transformation of our information management services, ensuring that they will be fit for the future and support the organisation in meeting its delivery goals. This pivotal role will focus on the modernisation and running of our Library and Archives, digital and physical information control, information management support to the business and digitalisation of business knowledge and information - empowering individuals, driving innovation and enhancing accessibility to meet the evolving needs of our users.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
1. A proven ability to design and implement transformative solutions, and a strong understanding of the role that knowledge and information management services play in supporting organisational priorities.
2. In depth knowledge of data related government digital and information requirements and emerging trends and issues, including knowledge services, Information Security and document control.
3. Extensive experience of leading within a Digital and Data Service, able to co-ordinate and direct diverse areas of work, motivate staff and provide clear and insightful leadership for the Knowledge and Information Management community.
4. A strong leader who is an effective communicator, strategically minded and has demonstrable evidence of promoting teamwork, managing complex challenges, leading change and setting clear goals.
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:
1. Significant experience of working in a complex regulatory environment, with large scale information, data or oversight experience.
You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Hybrid working is available for this role on an informal, non-contractual basis. Typically 2/3 days onsite per week.
