Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to work with disengaged students at a secondary school in Gorton. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing support in and outside the classroom, helping them to stay engaged and succeed in their education.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
Work closely with students who are disengaged or displaying challenging behaviour, providing one-on-one support to help them re-engage with learning.
Implement strategies and interventions designed to improve student behaviour and emotional well-being.
Support teachers and other staff in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Develop positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and promoting their academic success.
Help students develop social and emotional skills, enabling them to cope with challenges both in and out of school.
Support students during break times, transitions, and other school activities as needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional challenges (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students.
