Salary: Hourly rate is dependent on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week consisting of day or night work with occasio nal weekend work included.

About the role of Vegetation Management Operative

This role is exciting and will be varied throughout the year, depending on the season.

Responsibilities include:
13. Cyclical grass cutting between March and October
14. Grass cutting via the use of tractors with front and side arm flails, remote control bank mowers, ride on mowers, specialist machinery such as reforms and barrier mowers, and of course brush cutters
15. Weed control
16. Tree and hedge work, whether that be hazardous tree removal, sign and CCTV clearance and hedgerow maintenance or reduction outside of bird nesting season
17. Path clearance
18. Planting schemes including complete de-vegetation of ditches or other infrastructures
19. Complete de vegetation for new structures and roads
20. Jet washing
21. Other ad-hoc tasks that helps our clients.
Vegetation Management Operatives will work in a team under the guidance of a working supervisor to help deliver all contractual obligations to an exceptional standard.
What good looks like for a Vegetation Management Operative
22. You do NOT need to be experienced in highways or vegetation management works, although it would be beneficial
23. We would like you to have a basic understanding of health & safety
24. Physically able and the ability to pass or already hold a Safety Critical Medical
25. Full UK driving license with less than 6 points
26. Enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude
