Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required (Persons without the appropriate card will not be considered).
* City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
* Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline.
* Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs.
* Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within Hospital buildings.
* High level of organisation & time management skills, especially in environments with multiple priorities.
* Sound fault-finding techniques and ability to read drawings.
* Proficient in PC use, including software and systems.
Duties of this role include:
* Ensuring prompt completion of work orders for Planned maintenance, Reactive response, Specialist sub-contract work, and remedial work.
* Providing routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support to a hospital site.
* Providing technical, health, safety, and environmental support and acting as an exemplar of company policies.
* Training, mentoring, and assisting site-based technicians or engineering assistants.
* Offering engineering support and advice to hospital managers.
* Demonstrating a can-do culture based on engineering standards, integrity, and openness.
* Contributing to building a strong team ethos.
* Covering for engineering absences or providing specialist advice across Circle Health Group Hospitals as needed.
