We are St Helens Borough Council
Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a modernising Council which is passionate and ambitious for the children and families we support, our communities and our workforce. As part of our transformation journey, we continue to build on our progress and put children firmly at the centre of our care. We can only do this because of our highly valued, skilled, and supported workforce.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take on a training placement within the Housing Adaptations technical support service. You will ideally have previous building trade experience and be keen to expand your knowledge and skills to enable you to assist in the design and delivery of works to meet the needs of disabled people in their homes. You will be working in a customer-focused environment and will provide advice and assistance to vulnerable householders across all tenures in relation to suitable and cost effective housing adaptations. Commitment to accessing all work related training is essential.
This role allows for hybrid working, combining working from home with access to an agile work hub and the undertaking of site visits and inspections of properties across the borough.
For an informal discussion, please contact Danny McLoughlin, Senior Technical Officer ( Housing Adaptations) on 07784001257
Please note we reserve the right to close the advert early should we receive a sufficient number of applications and encourage you to apply early, to avoid disappointment.
