Search Recruitment is excited to be assisting in the recruitment of a Finance Accounts Assistant for a full-time, permanent role based in Leeds. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of accounting functions, including both accounts payable and receivable, within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Finance Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance department with a range of responsibilities. These will include processing invoices, managing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with VAT returns. You will also play a key role in preparing management accounts, managing cash flow, and reconciling accounts. Additionally, you will support internal audits and collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth running of financial operations across the company.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong attention to detail and a passion for finance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment and be comfortable managing multiple tasks effectively. While a minimum of one year's relevant experience in finance or accounts is preferred, candidates who are working towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent) will also be considered.
