Microbiology & Food Technologist
Alexander Steele have partnered with an established food manufacturing business in Essex. Our client is seeking an experienced microbiology & food technologist to join the business on a permanent basis. The role holder will support tasks related to microbiological food safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct sampling for microbiological system requirements with the collection and submission of samples.
2. Support food microbiology-related functions of the department and ensure that daily and weekly technical functions are carried out.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as the NPD team and quality assurance.
4. Conduct shelf-life assessment sampling and support shelf-life analysis.
5. Support investigations into abnormal lab results.
Background Experience:
1. Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role.
2. Level 3 food safety management/microbiology.
3. Familiar with Windows, MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
4. Experience auditing is desirable but not a necessity.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail.
What’s on Offer:
1. Paying circa £26,000.
2. 28 days holiday.
3. Monday – Friday 8am-4pm.
