About This Role
Your primary role is to assist in the management of a 4,500 acre countryside estate and will require extensive understanding of working in a variety of key areas that include woodland, farmland, watercourses, parkland, gardens, and property management.
You will be joining an experienced team of landscape managers, riverkeepers, and gardeners and will be expected to contribute in all areas within this team.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking assistant to form part of a multi-disciplinary landscape team. You will also need to be able to work alone and be comfortable using your own initiative.
Experience
* Skilled in a wide range of Estate skills such as fencing, path maintenance, tree felling & planting, etc.
* Experience in garden maintenance.
* Experience in operating tractors & associated equipment, telehandlers, ATVs, and excavators.
* Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
* Willingness to work flexibly.
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate well with others.
Skills & Qualifications
* NPTC Tractor.
* NPTC Chainsaw & brush cutter.
* PA1 & PA6 application of pesticides.
* Qualification in use of telehandler.
* Qualification in use of excavator.
* Full driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ or equivalent in Estate Management or equivalent.
* First Aid certificate.
* River management.
* Property maintenance.
