An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, registered nurse to join the Bury District Nursing Service as a Tissue Viability Nurse in Bury Community Services, part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is passionate about wound care and quality improvement. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, support, and education to patients and staff in the community setting and will demonstrate Tissue Viability knowledge and a proven interest in pressure ulcer prevention, management and wound care.
Bury Community Services has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist to join our District Nursing Team. The Tissue Viability Nurse will provide expert advice and support to patients and staff in the Bury District Nursing Teams. The role involves supporting with the training of staff, patients, and carers in relation to tissue viability such as pressure ulcer prevention and management, surgical wounds, and leg ulcers.

The post holder will be part of the District Nursing and will support in maintaining standards of clinical care by working in close collaboration with other professionals. This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
