Technique Recruitment Solutions are recruitment company that specialises in recruitment for manufacturing industries across East Anglia and has an exciting opportunity for a Assistant gluer operative/Print finisher to join their clients print packaging team based in Norwich.
Job Role: ASSISTANT GLUER OPERATIVE
Fulltime position - Norwich based.
Shifts are on a triple rotation 24/5;
Wk 1. 6am -1.30pm
Wk 2. 1.30pm - 9pm (Mon to Fri)
Wk 3. 9pm - 6am (4 nights Mon to Thur only)
Must be able to work all three shifts.
Holiday 26 days per year + bank holidays
Enrolment offered for the company pension scheme.
The hourly rate for these 3-shift rotation pattern will be £14 p/hr.
Working for a Norwich based independently run print packaging company
Will be on a initial 12 week temp to perm period (Probation) through ourselves with the end client taking you on permanently after the successful probation period.
Our client is a leading packaging/print manufacturer, supplying the full range of Design & Print Packaging solutions in to a variety of market sectors.
They are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Gluer Operative to manufacture & assist in the manufacture of corrugated/card/paper based packaging to high quality print specifications working on Bobst and SBL multipoint gluers.
Main Duties:
• Checking print quality and that the product makes up correctly and is fit for purpose. To be able to work in a small team with good communication, good time keeping & reliability is a must.
• Packing on the end of a glue line with a good communication and quality checking.
• Small amount of paperwork is required with process controls to follow.
• Must be able to work the above treble shift.
• Report any defects to you line leader or management.
• Working the back end of the gluer, to finish products, ready for dispatch...MUST have good attention to detail.
• Taking dimensional measurements and associating these with products specifications, ensuring products are within tolerance of customer expectations.
• Cleaning and maintaining machinery.
• Demonstrating flexibility in operating a variety of machinery proficiently
• Ensure accurate records are maintained throughout production process.
• Minimise downtime by forward planning to ensure all materials are available well in advance
• To help utilise allocated labour to the best effect in order to achieve identified priorities.
• Work with your Team Leader on process/continuous improvement projects
• To help your Team Leader co-ordinate labour over meal breaks and ensure allocated break times are adhered to
