Finance Officer
Salary: £40-45,000 per annum + 25 days holiday allowance + Bank Holidays, Private Medial, Pension, Cash Plan, Parking +++ Hours: 8.30-5pm - Onsite - Monday - Friday.
Location: Tunbridge Wells Reporting to: Finance Director
Team: Supportive and upbeat Finance team of four, part of a large reputable organisation based in Tunbridge Wells.
Role Overview: As a Senior Finance Officer, you will manage, oversee, and actively participate in all aspects of the Finance Department to ensure the timely and accurate production of financial and management reports. You will play a key role in financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll processing, compliance, and external reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Management Reporting
Lead the preparation of monthly financial and management accounts for review by the Finance Director before submission to the Board of Directors, including:
Profit and Loss accounts
Balance sheets
Departmental P&Ls
Cash, debtor, and creditor analysis
Other financial schedules as required
Oversee and ensure accuracy in key reconciliations, such as bank, cash, and control accounts, VAT, PAYE, and National Insurance.
Manage and calculate accounting adjustments for:
Stock valuation
Work-in-progress and long-term contract adjustments
Accruals and prepayments
Contracts in advance, bad debt provisions, and other financial provisions
