Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit to Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician posts.
The main purpose of the post is to perform routine pharmaceutical duties with a high level of accuracy to support the provision of the Clinical Trials service across the Trust.
We are looking for responsible, progressive, pro-active, hard-working individuals with strong communication and problem-solving skills and a positive attitude to work and willingness to learn. Applicants must be self-motivated and organised.
You will have to have a good attention to detail, be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team and contribute to the process of service development and innovation by your own initiative and enthusiasm. You will be required to work to the strict guidance of ICH GCP, the European Clinical Trials Directive, Trust and Departmental SOPs.
This role will be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary; however, the successful candidate may on occasion be required to work at other sites.
Prior working in hospital, clinical trials and an aseptic unit is desirable but not essential; we are keen to receive applications from pharmacy technicians working in any sector. Successful candidates will be given full training and development in these areas in order to fulfil specialist duties for this post.
About us
Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals:
1. high-quality care for all,
2. being a great place to work,
3. partnerships for impact, and
4. research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
1. we are compassionate,
2. we are proud,
3. we are inclusive, and
4. we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
