As an Assistant Service Manager working at our Audi Dealership in York, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the Service department. Reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager, you will help lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver and epitomise the highest level of customer experience.

Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Helping to lead, coach and develop the service team to elevate their performance and behaviours, and deliver results.
2. Ensuring appropriate resource management to deliver the highest level of customer experience, managing workshop bookings to optimise utilisation.
3. Deciding appropriate diary booking to ensure correct workshop loading and the timely completion of work.
4. Ensuring profit is maximised through the sale of additional work and suitable products and services.
5. Carrying out thorough examinations of period management accounts, producing and reviewing financial objectives and raising any areas of concern/opportunity with the Head of Business.
6. Handling customer complaints to ensure a fair and equitable resolution for all parties ensuring root cause is identified and solutions implemented to minimise chance of recurrence.
7. Creating and fostering a team culture of high performance and excellence.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a Service Management / Aftersales capacity is desirable.
2. A customer-centric approach; always striving to deliver service above customer expectations, and the ability to create and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
3. A solid understanding of current motor industry practices would be desirable but not essential.
4. A deep understanding of the service core process.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver impeccable standards right across the business.
7. A valid driving licence which is free from excessive penalties.
