Vertical Lift Supply Chain Management operates to ensure effective delivery of goods and services to support the success of Vertical Lift programmes through forecasting, proposal management and contract change; component maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO); inventory maintenance; procurement and supplier management as well as warehouse management and parts distribution. The Role An opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for an Inventory Modelling Specialist on the UK AH-64E Apache Long Term Training and Support Service (LTTSS) programme. This role will be responsible to the Apache Material Flow Manager for the data analysis in support of ranging, scaling and forecasting of inventory to support the UK AH-64E Apache. The successful candidate will need to be a proactive, agile thinker and be able to solve complex problems within a multi-stakeholder environment. Responsibilities Utilise the Inventory Modelling Tool to review data and align part number configurations with the Engineering Bill of Material. Management of Stock Maximum levels at pre-assigned locations. Integration with Asset Managers to upkeep data variables within the Modelling Tool. Identify and communicate demand usage trends across platform for correlation against variables such as region and supplier. Responsible for supporting and providing analysis for material spend and continuous improvements. Identifying potential supply risk by interpreting forecasting data and work with internal departments on solutions. Perform “what if” analysis to resolve impact of contract or environmental changes. Work with large data sets in Excel Produce quarterly forecast estimate for material. Maintain a metric to monitor forecast accuracy against the Contacted Bill of Material. Employ Root Cause and Corrective Action techniques to progressively explore areas to improve performance of the inventory. Execute Supply Chain Best Practices during the completion of all assigned work. Preferred Experience Previous experience with demand forecasting, ranging and scaling of a product is a pre-requisite for this role. Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to macros, arrays, pivot tables, logic statements. 3 years of experience within a Supply Chain role A focus on first time quality and attention to detail Problem solving ability Experience with the use of tools and systems to forecast products is essential. Advanced Data Analytical skills. The ability to obtain SC Clearance. Desirable Skills Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management is desirable. Advanced Communication Skills.
