ACS International Schools is recruiting for a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Support Specialist to join its IT team based at the Cobham Campus. This critical role supports ACS's IT Strategy through effective maintenance of essential business information and core IT services, as well as efficient management of the IT Department.
Salary
£28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Active Directory data (user details, contact details, and extended attributes). They will also assist in validating and supporting improvements in systems, processes, and procedures used across the organisation to maintain complete and accurate records.
Additionally, this role involves effectively administering the internal phone system, adding users, updating entries, and assisting with setup and day-to-day use. The specialist will support management and ongoing improvement of ACS Zoom contract, administer ACS mobile phone contracts (checking lines, packages, and ordering handsets as required), and provide basic front-facing IT operational support for students, parents, and staff interacting with IT systems.
Supporting the IT Department
The Network Infrastructure Support Specialist will assist with the management and coordination of holidays and necessary cover, ensure team compliance with required training (Safety Cloud and Educare), and support staff professional development, including travel arrangements. They will also administer IT subscriptions and contracts, including budget preparation and payments, manage logistics for IT clients and service providers (guests and visitors), coordinate and arrange meeting rooms and facilities for IT visitors and internal staff, and assist the Head of IT with general office administration as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with additional training in office administration or entry-level IT certifications preferred. They must have experience administering IT systems and processes (Active Directory, Zoom, Outlook) and be comfortable with contemporary Cloud-based technologies and their user interfaces. Familiarity with IT Department working environments and systems, as well as a basic level understanding of Windows and Apple OS, are also essential requirements. Basic level operational support of iPads, Interactive TVs, Mobile Phones, and other IT hardware is desirable.
Location and Working Hours
This full-time position is based at the ACS Cobham campus, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. The start date is ASAP.
