Asset Designer - BEAR Scotland
Prime Workforce is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join BEAR Scotland, a leader in the maintenance and management of Scotland’s transport infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Asset Designer to contribute to the development and improvement of Scotland’s road network. This is an ideal role for a creative and technically skilled professional with a passion for infrastructure design.
The Opportunity
Prime Workforce, on behalf of BEAR Scotland, is seeking a talented Asset Designer to join their team. The role will focus on designing road and infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, and other critical assets, to ensure their efficiency, durability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
As an Asset Designer, you will:
* Design Road Assets: Create detailed designs for road infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
* Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the designs are practical and effective.
* Develop Technical Drawings: Produce technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for road assets.
* Support Asset Management: Contribute to the ongoing management and maintenance of existing assets.
* Ensure Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
* Problem-Solve Design Issues: Address and resolve any design challenges that arise.
* Review and Improve Designs: Evaluate the effectiveness of completed projects and recommend design improvements.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Qualifications: A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in asset design.
* Experience: Proven experience in designing road infrastructure assets.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
* Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with relevant design standards and safety regulations.
* Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to liaise with teams, clients, and contractors.
* Project Management: Experience in managing or supporting the delivery of design projects.
