They specialise in the installation of energy-saving measures under the ECO4 and GBIS schemes, ensuring sustainable living is easy and accessible for all.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, securing, and managing strategic partnerships with housing associations, local authorities, landlords, and private homeowners. Your focus will be on increasing our market presence, customer base, and revenue through proactive engagement and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Business Growth – Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities within the energy efficiency sector.
2. Identify & Secure Partnerships – Build strong relationships with housing associations, local councils, social landlords, private landlords, and homeowners.
3. Develop Sales Channels – Expand our reach by identifying new referral partners, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
4. Understand ECO4 & GBIS – Stay up to date with government energy efficiency schemes and identify opportunities to maximize funding.
5. Manage the Sales Process – From initial contact to deal closure, ensuring a seamless journey for partners and clients.
6. Achieve Targets – Work towards KPIs and revenue goals, driving sustainable business growth.
7. Market Intelligence – Stay ahead of industry trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to shape our business development strategy.
8. Collaborate with Internal Teams – Work closely with our operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
The Ideal Person:
We are looking for a proactive, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency.
1. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in energy efficiency, sustainability, or a related field).
2. Strong understanding of the ECO4 and GBIS schemes.
3. Ability to build strategic relationships and influence key stakeholders.
4. A self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Ability to analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities.
7. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Desirable:
Existing network within housing associations, local authorities, or the property sector.
Knowledge of retrofit measures, renewable energy solutions, or home energy efficiency improvements.
