We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our nursing team and provide expert care in our 56-bed Acute Medical Unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital, which is divided into two areas. Our dynamic and fast-paced unit welcomes both new and experienced nurses who are motivated, forward-thinking, and eager to embrace the challenges of acute nursing care. The ideal candidate must demonstrate robust communication, organisational, and clinical skills and be committed to the ongoing development of both staff and students, serving as a visible role model. Additionally, good time management skills and the ability to thrive in a high-demand environment with frequent admissions and discharges are essential. To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift. To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit. To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister.
