Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanic to join and help grow our Kirkcaldy based client, on a full time permanent basis, as a HGV Mechanic/Technician.
Working as a HGV Mechanic/Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work, on a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers. As such, you will also be responsible for:
* Completing inspections and identifying problems and raising these with the Workshop Manager
* Conducting maintenance and repairs of a fleet of HGVs and trailers, at a first-time pass rate of 100% for MOTs
* Completing any relevant paperwork and maintaining records of all work carried out
* Following all company policies and procedures, particularly related to health and safety
* Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience:
* The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills
* Great attention to detail
* Basic computer skills
* Proven desirable experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role is advantageous
For this role you will benefit from a salary up to 36,000 per annum. With a range of benefits including regular overtime and enhanced rates.
