We are looking for a Senior Site Director to lead colleagues at our Westbury Dairy in Wiltshire, which is the home of Anchor Butter in the UK and the UK’s largest butter factory. The manufacturing site also contains one of the UK’s largest milk powder dryers which exports powders all over the world to be used in brand name confectionaries, desserts and baked goods. The site is currently implementing over £16m in strategic CAPEX projects, making it an exciting time to get involved!

How will you make an impact?
The role will report into the Vice President for UK Production and will be the Senior Site Leader responsible for leading the Site Leadership team in developing and implementing the annual site business plan, longer-term factory strategic plans, and contributing to the delivery of Arla Foods business goals. In addition, the role will take on areas of responsibility in the broader UK Production and UK Market business plans.

Key responsibilities will include improving efficiencies through continuous improvement and enhanced performance in line with the company's strategy and key performance indicators. The individual will have full accountability for the site P&L and work closely with the other 8 UK sites to ensure best practice is shared. The ability to develop people, identify talent, and succession plan will be fundamental. As Westbury works closely as part of the UK production network, a key activity will be to work with Site Director peers to maximize operational performance and utilize synergies across the UK.
The main responsibilities for this role are:
* Lead, coach, manage, and develop the site leadership team and progress talent
* Communicate and deliver business goals through the site management team, prioritizing goals and activities as necessary
* Lead and drive change using a structured approach
* Ensure compliance with company, customer, and legal standards
* Participate in developing broader Supply Chain business plans
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
* Develop the site CAPEX plans with demonstrated ROI analysis for both local and strategic investments
* Continue to lead and develop the site's approach to diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing with the support from, and in line with relevant focus groups across the Global business
* Driving operational excellence through delivery of the Arla Performance System at all levels of the site
What will make you successful?
Suitable applicants will ideally be degree qualified with proven experience gained as a Senior Operations Leader or Site Director within FMCG. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing people and change within an FMCG environment and will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. A background in Dairy or fast-paced Food manufacturing is essential.
This role would suit an ambitious and experienced candidate looking to develop their career within Arla at a site which has a significant future investment plan to become one of our flagship UK sites for the future.
