Job Title: IT Server OfficerRole Overview: The IT Server Officer will support the development and maintenance of my clients' server and cloud infrastructures, assisting the IT Systems Manager in implementing and managing these systems. Key Responsibilities: Technology Operations: Manage and maintain server and cloud systems (Windows, Linux, VMWare, Hyper-V, Office 365, Azure, etc.). Solution Design & Testing: Install, configure, and test hardware/software for server and cloud use. Architecture Management: Ensure compliance with IT architecture plans. Incident & Problem Management: Provide technical support and resolve issues within SLA. Request Fulfilment: Develop and meet SLAs for service requests. Security Management: Implement and monitor security controls. Configuration & Asset Management: Maintain accurate asset inventories and manage configuration items. Vendor/Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers. IT Capability Development: Maintain documentation and support disaster recovery planning. Essential Criteria Either hold a Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline plus at least three years' experience in IT server systems support and least five years' relevant experience in IT server systems support and a Microsoft MCSA in Windows Server, SQL Server, Cloud Platform or equivalent plus one years' experience in IT server systems support and maintenance. Experience Demonstrable experience of server system support gained within a multi-site IT service environment. Demonstrable experience dealing with fault identification and resolution. Knowledge Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server services within a multi-site IT service environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation. Knowledge of server system backup and recovery. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server services within a multi-site IT service environment. Benefits: Annual Leave: 24 days per annum Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme (EE contribution 6.5%, ER contribution 19%) Salary: £31,586 - £35,235 per annum, with potential progression to Senior Analyst (Band 6: £37,035 - £39,513 per annum) after two years.
