Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Manager to oversee and manage the transactional teams. The manager should be capable of delegating responsibilities effectively, supporting, training, and developing the team, as well as reviewing processes and procedures and initiating improvements where necessary.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Lead and manage a team: Provide guidance and support, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs.
2. Oversee the entire Accounts Payable (AP) process: Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Supervise the Accounts Receivable (AR) process: Ensure timely invoicing and collection of payments, monitor customer accounts, and follow up on overdue invoices.
4. Reporting: Prepare and present monthly AP/AR reports to the Head of Finance.
5. Financial Planning: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
6. Reconciliations and Closing: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
7. Expense Management: Oversee the expense management system and ensure proper documentation and approval of employee expenses.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in AP/AR management, preferably within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
* Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
* Excellent understanding of financial processes and controls.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
