This role is based at a dynamic campus in Cambridge, dedicated to Skills Development and Lifelong Learning within the Service Industries sector. Role Overview: As a Lecturer in Culinary Arts, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences. You will play a key role in course design, development of programmes, and generally expanding the educational offerings in culinary arts. Key Responsibilities: Teaching Excellence: Deliver inspirational and high-quality teaching across various programmes, which may include evenings, Saturdays, and summer periods. Assessment and Materials: Provide and maintain top-notch teaching materials, manage assessments, and ensure alignment with awarding body standards. Student Support: Act as a course tutor, supporting learners to achieve their educational goals, tracking progress, and providing valuable feedback. Recruitment and Promotion: Assist in the recruitment of new students and participate in promotional events to enhance the visibility and growth of the department. Professional Development: Maintain and develop industrial links and stay updated with current practices in the culinary arts field. Candidate Profile: Qualifications: Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications required. Candidates should hold or be willing to work towards an Assessor/IQA award. Experience: Extensive teaching experience within the Culinary Arts industry is essential, ideally supported by a minimum L3 Professional Chefs Qualification. Skills: Strong commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. A commitment to equality and diversity is essential. Special Conditions: Hours: 8 hours per week on a variable hour's contract. Salary: £23.04 per hour. Location: The main place of work is the Cambridge campus.
