About The Role
Role: Environmental Crime Manager
Location: Chorley and South Ribble
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £37,336 - £38,223

If this describes you, we're looking to recruit to the new role of Environmental Crime Manager at both South Ribble and Chorley Councils.
In this role, you will support the Streetscene Lead to deliver efficient, high quality and safe Streetscene Services across both South Ribble and Chorley.
You'll be working with a variety of different stakeholders and the public, therefore fantastic communication skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers are key.
What you'll be getting up to
* Identification and reporting of potentially hazardous problems that could affect the public realm or continuous improvements which are evident within both boroughs.
* Provide guidance and assistance with environmental enforcement issues as deemed appropriate.
* Actively support and deliver the Council's enforcement activities through the implementation of legislation, this will include targeted patrols and visits to licensed premises.
Who we're looking for
* You'll have a good knowledge of environmental enforcement.
* You'll be a fantastic team-player, as you'll be working closely with other teams in the Council and the public.
* You should have experience of interviews under caution in line with PACE legislation.
* You might be CIWM accredited or you'll be willing to work towards this.
Other requirements
* This role requires you to regularly use a vehicle therefore you must possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
* This role may require you to work outside normal core hours.
