Job Description
Head of Logistics Operations for National Services Scotland is a key senior strategic role within the NHS.
The focus of this role is on service excellence, health and safety, and operational efficiency.
The responsibilities include leading on logistics for the NHS, managing warehouses, ensuring service quality, and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
The successful candidate will direct, mentor, and provide technical, commercial, and managerial leadership to develop and deliver logistics operational strategies.
This role requires very strong and senior logistics experience, a proven track record in leading teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead change across diverse stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education, a postgraduate qualification, and be a professionally accredited member of a relevant discipline such as CILT or CIPS.
This role is based mainly in an office environment with occasional travel required to manage warehouses. The work pattern is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
