Our client, based in King’s Lynn is seeking an Assistant Manager - General Practice to join its growing team. This role would suit a Senior Accountant with strong experience in Accounting and Tax compliance work, looking to progress, manage a portfolio and take on a leadership role in the team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services.
The Role:
* Oversee a portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, company directors, and trustees.
* Responsible for providing and overseeing accounting services including corporate and personal tax returns and special services for a portfolio of clients with annual fees in excess of £120,000.
* Review and finalise client records to draft accounts stage.
* Manage and develop client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Review financial statements, VAT returns, and tax compliance work.
* Prepare budgets, forecasts, and projections.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
* Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development.
* Attend client meetings and networking events to strengthen relationships.
About You:
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
