Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to manage and oversee our food production team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within food production, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to drive efficiency and team cohesion. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that daily production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise daily operations: Oversee the production line, ensuring that products are processed efficiently, according to production plans, and meet quality standards.
2. Lead and mentor team members: Provide direction, guidance, and support to production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
3. Maintain quality and safety standards: Enforce compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), and company-specific guidelines.
4. Coordinate with other departments: Work closely with quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow and address any issues promptly.
5. Problem-solving and troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues that arise on the production floor, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining product quality.
6. Train new team members: Onboard, train, and coach new employees on production procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
7. Monitor performance: Track key performance metrics (KPIs) for the team, provide feedback, and report progress to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
8. Implement continuous improvement initiatives: Identify areas for operational improvement, suggest process enhancements, and work with management to implement changes.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a team leader or supervisory role within a food production environment.
2. Leadership skills: Strong ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a diverse team to achieve production goals.
3. Technical knowledge: Familiarity with food production machinery, safety standards, and quality control processes.
4. Attention to detail: High standards for product quality and adherence to food safety regulations.
5. Problem-solving: Proactive and capable of making quick, effective decisions to resolve production floor issues.
6. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in food production, management, or related areas are preferred.
7. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments.
