We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our maintenance team at our Glenrothes headquarters. This mobile role requires a skilled professional with a full driving license, as you’ll support operations across multiple sites as needed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in the quarry, mining, or transport industry, though relevant mechanical expertise from other sectors will also be considered. You thrive both as a team player and independently, with a sharp eye for detail and a solid commitment to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance on plant equipment and HGVs, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are safe and operational.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs in the designated logbooks.
Stay updated on new servicing and safety standards for equipment and vehicles.
Assess and verify the roadworthiness and safety of vehicles and equipment
Must possess a valid driver’s license for the vehicles operated.
Adhere to the Highway Code and notify management of any motoring convictions immediately.
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service that meets customer needs.
Use provided protective clothing, adhere to health and safety protocols, and complete additional training as needed.
Undergo regular assessments to ensure competency and quality of service.
This role requires a flexible approach to duties as business needs evolve. Regular assessments by the Plant Manager will ensure ongoing competence and adherence to company standards.
