Main duties of the job Responsible for the assessment of care need and the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care, establishing evidence-based practice. Delivers enhanced nursing skills within renal care pathway Reporting to the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, assists in leading and managing the clinical team, delegates work to junior staff and participates in the management of the department and the development of care systems as directed by the Line Manager Assists with the total management of a team and leads the care for patients with chronic and acute renal failure. No direct budgetary control but the post holder will be expected to assist with the effective use of resources in the clinical area. The post is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team, involving specialised nursing skills and leadership competencies and which contributes to the effective and economical use of available resources.
