Description:
The SCADA WTG Engineer works with our offshore wind turbine OEMs on designing, implementing, delivering, commissioning, validating, and documenting all hardware and software aspects of the wind turbine SCADA and active/reactive power control systems in offshore wind farm projects. This includes planning and coordination of the many activities between the involved internal and external parties, as well as the final transfer to Operations.
The most important tasks are:
* executing the SCADA and active/reactive power control sections in offshore wind turbine contracts in close collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and partners.
* together with the wind turbine OEM, carrying out the detailed design of hardware, software, and interfaces for the wind turbine SCADA and active/reactive power control systems
* aligning with internal and external stakeholders and providing the guidance required by the offshore wind turbine OEM to understand and deliver in accordance with all SCADA and active/reactive power control related requirements in the wind turbine contract
* ensuring that the wind turbine SCADA and active/reactive power control systems live up to relevant cyber security policies
* planning and executing the quality assurance activities for the wind turbine SCADA and active/reactive power control deliverables
* collecting and quality checking SCADA and active/reactive power control documentation from the wind turbine OEM
* performing the final transfer of the WTG SCADA and active/reactive power control deliverables to Operations.
The consultant is expected to have:
* a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent
* 10 years of experience with the detailed design of SCADA hardware and software solutions for offshore wind turbine monitoring and control
* thorough practical experience with communication protocols, such as OPC UA, OPC A&C, IEC 60870 5-104 and APIs such as ODBC and RESTful
* a basic understand of communication networks, infrastructure and cyber security
* strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and collaborate with teams and internal/external stakeholders
* outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
