About the role As SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils’ achievement and ability to develop. Have knowledge and understanding of: Strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward. Implementing a school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies and action plans in relation to classroom practise. Statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ attainment and progress. The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards of teaching and learning leading to achievement for all pupils. The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning. Educated to Post Graduate Cert Ed/QTS level, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential. About us Ashley Park School is located in the stunning market town on the south bank of the Thames in the borough of Surrey. It forms part of the Greater London built up area and is served by a wide range of transport routes to school, making it easily accessible. Our new specialist school will cater for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.
