Your Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the academic and personal development of the students. You will provide essential support for their learning and well-being, helping each student reach their full potential in a nurturing and secure setting. Your responsibilities will also include attending to care needs and managing positive behaviour tailored to each student's unique needs. Your role involves creating warm, supportive relationships with the pupils, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. In collaboration with the class teacher, you will help deliver high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational experiences, ensuring every student excels. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and evaluating learning activities. Provide valuable feedback on student progress and achievement. Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupils' progress in line with school policies. Support positive behaviour and focus, adapting your approach as needed. Promote spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, and uphold British values within the PSHE framework. Foster students' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being through a holistic curriculum. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist where needed in the dynamic SEN environment. Skills and Qualifications: Experience in an SEN role, either employed or voluntary. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential for student carpooling on a rota basis). Recognised Level 2 or higher qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable). GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above (essential). Knowledge of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures. Experience with pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD. A child-first approach, recognising and responding to each student's individuality.
