Stockport Grammar School is seeking to employ an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic individual to lead this very busy and high-performing Mathematics Department. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school is essential.
The successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate the following:
1. A good honours degree in Mathematics or a Mathematics-related degree, a PGCE or equivalent and QTS
2. Experience of delivering outstanding lessons
3. Significant understanding of Teaching & Learning pedagogy
4. Experience of developing and implementing Schemes of Learning
5. Proven ability to build close professional relationships with other colleagues
6. Good skills in ICT and in verbal and written communication
7. Proven ability to develop vision, to plan and to innovate
8. Commitment to continuing professional development
9. Commitment to Safeguarding
